Entry 6: FOR THE GIRLS: ITS WESLEY'S WORLD

One thing about toddlers is that they can turn the most normal, everyday moments into something exciting. Lately, watching my son Wesley has reminded me how important it is for kids to just be outside and experience the world around them. In a time where screens and technology are everywhere, sometimes the best thing for kids is simply fresh air, a little freedom, and space to explore. Right now, Wesley is completely obsessed with TWO  things: airplanes and his toddler bike. Anytime we go outside, the first thing he does is listen for planes. The second he hears one, everything else stops. He tilts his head up toward the sky , points as fast as he can, and yells “Plane!” like it is the most exciting thing he has ever seen. Sometimes the plane is so far away it’s barely visible, but that doesn’t matter to him at all. To Wesley, it’s still amazing. And honestly, it makes me stop and notice it too. As adults, we hear planes all the time and barely even think about it. But seein...

Entry 4: FOR THE GIRLS: THE INNER GIRL

Sometimes a single image can capture a feeling. The ✨sparkle✨ of a stage, a rhinestone boot, and a microphone ready for a performance can represent more than just fashion or music—it can represent confidence, creativity, and the joy of embracing girlhood.

Images like this often remind people of the excitement of expressing themselves without hesitation. The glitter, the bold style, and the stage presence all symbolize a kind of freedom. Girlhood is often connected to moments of self-discovery: figuring out personal style, finding confidence, and celebrating individuality. Fashion, music, and performance can become powerful ways for people to express who they are and how they want to be seen.

This idea resonates with many people because self-expression is something everyone searches for at different stages of life. Finding that “inner girlhood” does not necessarily mean returning to childhood—it means reconnecting with creativity, confidence, and the excitement of embracing what makes someone unique.

In a world that can sometimes feel serious and structured, moments of sparkle, music, and bold self-expression can remind people that confidence often starts with simply allowing themselves to shine.

  1. I truly connected with your blog and I love the title of it. It is crazy how sometimes we just connect with something, a word, or a photo, and that photo with sparkle says so much to me. It reminds me that it is important to embrace my girly side that loves makeup and clothes and sparkle. It is a way to express ourselves, even if others do not appreciate it. Do it for you! Thanks for sharing! Brandy Wyatt
